All* arrived safely in - far warmer (28 degrees
forecast for Friday's game) - Queensland
for the next leg of the tour.
* Well, not quite all. Max and the
Doc are still in Melbourne where Max will have his damaged hand
pinned on Friday. If all goes well they'll be back with us in
time for the move to Surfers on Saturday
The half-way
point in the tour arrived with a superb excursion to Moreton Island
about 30km off the Brisbane coast where the tour party enjoyed
snorkelling and "trawling", as well as a gentle jog up a 20-storey
high dune under the watchful eye of Ben.
(I wonder if Joe H's shorts ever did wash up anywhere?)
Friday starts
with fitness training for those not involved in today's game, and a
run through for the match squad in preparation for this evenings
game.
Met East 12 - 13 Sussex XV
A hard game on a beautiful ground
against a well-prepared Met East side before they pop off for the
short trip to a festival - 500 kms down the road!
Selbs comes off the bench and does what
he does best - runs straight at the defence - at which point he's
clattered, off again, and out for the rest of the tour!
