DAYS 16-17 - COFFS HARBOUR

Day 16 - Tue 07 Aug

Free morning then travel to Coffs Harbour by coach (2 hours)

Check into the Sebel Aqualuna and here we are again  - back online so a quick catch up.  Travelled down to Coffs and received the bad news that the drought affecting much of the east coast meant that white water rafting was off - paint-balling set up by Kings as a replacement.

Supermarket staff in Surfers a little taken aback by six blokes spending $800 or so on a vast quantity of healthy foodstuffs for the BBQ tonight at Coffs and tomorrow's self-catering night!

Day 17 - Wed 08 Aug

R&R on the Gold Coast beaches

Though the planned white water rafting was cancelled - due to the draught - a great morning at a superb paint ball centre run by growling Scott - ex ADF .  Several thousand rounds expended - mainly on the coaching team.  I've got a feeling the final D-Day game will be remembered by many - if only for the horrendous cheating (and some pretty bruised backsides)!

Following a scrub up, lunch at Coffs Harbour Deep Sea Fishing Club in lieu of the originally planned "mid-rafting" lunch.  As usual the steak supply takes a hammering.  Except for poor old THB who's down with the Tour lurgy and on water (and talking to god on the bit white telephone.
